Our Community
St Anne's Primary School Sunbury
At St Anne’s Primary School we are a community of Faith, Learning and Partnership. We value the learning partnership between school, home, parish and the wider community and actively encourage our families to walk alongside us as we aim for our children to be resilient, responsible and successful lifelong learners.
Our school community has a strong focus on parental involvement. Our families offer various skills and insight into school philosophies that provide avenues for families to work in partnership with our teachers and provide optimal learning environments for our students.

tee
Our School Advisory Council provides a crucial point of connection between the wider school community and school leaders. It informs, advises and supports the Principal and school leadership so the wellbeing and educational outcomes of our students is paramount. This has happened in many forms such as;
-
promoting our school’s Catholic ethos and culture
-
assisting with capital resource planning and maintenance
-
assisting with the implementation of policies such as our home learning and uniform policies
-
giving advice on such matters as enrolments, school improvement plans and community links.
The Council consists of six parents, the Principal and Deputy Principal whilst the Parish Priest is an ex-officio member. Parents are on the Council for three years.
Parent Helpers
Our Parent Helper Program thrives at St Anne’s. Families support our staff and students with tasks such as:
-
Reading,
-
Spelling,
-
Numeracy.
St Anne’s adheres to the Catholic Education Guidelines and supports families to ensure they have been appropriately inducted into the school. This process includes:
• Receiving documentation to fill in and return to the office,
• Providing the office with an up to date copy of your Working With Children’s Check (WWCC) and,
• Attending an induction session with one of our schools Literacy Leaders.
Once the following steps have been completed Classroom Helpers can get in contact with their child’s classroom teacher to organise a time to begin
Art Show
Our Art Show is held every second year. It is a visual representation of the Arts curriculum. Here at St Anne’s our ARTs program enables children to showcase their creativity and create pieces that are coordinated according to a theme. The Art Show is an opportunity for our students to demonstrate their artistic talents using various media and to share this with their families.
